Getting online jobs
It’s hard work getting your type job online especially when you need one badly. Mostly for freelancers looking for some good payout jobs where they can earn good side income blogging for something which interest them. But i would like to cover few topics here about getting online jobs.
(1) Define your niche : Its very important to know web concepts and way it works online, i dont mean you try to master all that but at least you know what can make you earn online. Based on that, define your specific niche where you can blog quality content continuously. Know which topic you can write on or develop on, like you want to be a tech news or analysis writer, flash developer for medium scaled websites and companies, coder on specific language, business writer, copywriter, etc. There are plenty of scopes in each niche so just think which niche is your passion and work on it.
(2) Experience : Experience is one such thing which will only help you while getting a good payout job online. 12 months and 2 months makes a difference. Like i have 14, thats an year plus 2 months experience at present. I have been valued more on basis of my experience and skills that can only be developed by continuous hardcore work during these months.
(3) Patience : Patience is one thing which you should have while working online. Online jobs and business, work on the same funda as practical business works, just the fact that its developing at high rate.
(4) Advance pitching and preparation : I want to highlight this fact as very important point in getting your desired job. It is likely that you wont get your desired job whenever you want. Why not start looking for it in advance and book it for yourself. Start looking for jobs on job boards in advance, maybe, lets say you know you are going to have lots free time in coming vacation and you already have planned to earn good money during these days. So start looking for jobs and get them, just say the owner that you can immediately start the work in 10-15 days. This way you aren’t helpless to choose whatever you get, this way you can have more options and acquire only those jobs which you like in advance and start working in vacation.
(5) Don’t compromise : Job givers will negotiate with you but you see that you don’t sell your self too cheap. You will also probably do the same thing if you were in their’s shoes so just fix a rate or say clear cut – NO to them humbly. This can be better done if you are following point (4) because you aren’t totally desperate and you know there are still more jobs coming your way.
Some job boards i know – Problogger job board, freelanceswitch job board, copyblogger (recently open) job board. Just search them on google them and you will know its URL.
