Iran Law on Punishing Bloggers

Saturday, July 5th, 2008 | Tech news

Believe it or not, regional bloggers who have their blogs visited by local region of his/her, have got their voice reached to mass and do cause damage to government by posting about them. Lately several incidents of blogger punishment (jail cases and even murder ones) have been seen in several countries like Iran, japan, etc. But wait, now something official. Iran parliament is planning to draft a bill/act to harshly punish bloggers, as far as death penalty. The official pretext of punishing them would be under charges corruption, mistrust, prostitution (?), etc. Definitely a violation of freedom to speech (blog..lol). Iran people are quite conservative and i suppose once these act is passed, it will be harshly implemented under any false pretext.
