AVG isn’t much efficient

I have to now start believing that AVG isn’t efficient after myself practically being infected with dozens of Trojan’s and viruses and spams…(myself means my desktop). As i got my new Compaq presario laptop, i have now Quick heal Antivirus plus 2008 installed.
Norton of symantec - The most interrupting antivirus ever on this planet.
AVG - Least interference in system but not efficient 
Quick heal - less interfering but efficient.
McAfee - Alright, its fine.
So my hopes that AVG 7.5 is best has broken. The problem with AVG is that it doesn’t detect all viruses. Now most people recommend the latest quick heal which has DNA scan technology.
