Hauppauge Wi-Music receiver

4 months back, i bought Compaq presario C773TU laptop. At that time, some offer regarding Wi-music receiver was going on. I did the procedure and ordered one. Now after 4 months, i got it finally via Blue Dart. I suppose this device would work properly. This device enables you to stream music wireless. Its very simple to make it work. You get one Pen drive type device which you plugin in USB port. And other square type small device which is connected wireless to that Pen drive. Now you can take that square box anywhere in the house and attach speakers to it. You play the music on computer and your speakers play it in other room. The device runs with adapter. Wish it had battery. HP gives 1 year warranty on it. The device is of some Hauppauge co. assembled in China. Hope it works out fine.
Quality Laptop Speakers

One thing which you urge in laptops and maybe one of your reasons for not buying laptop is sound volume and its quality. Most laptops have medium or bad quality speakers and quality and high volume speakers have always been a need for laptop users so you dont feel need of much external speakers. One of the reason good speakers aren’t available in laptops is because of battery life. In very few models you will find very good and clean speakers (some make harsh voices when volume is increased). My Compaq presario laptop isn’t that good either. Up to certain level the volume is fine but after a certain volume, speakers cant bear the volume and there is risk of speakers getting fused off or device failing.
I would love to see some good and quality sound speakers in existing models so that laptop users don;t crave for quality voice.

Not that only high branded laptops sell but low profile keeping brands like Gateway laptops do sell. Here i will write a bit about Gateway model 6836 :
Advantages : Better battery life (hope much better than my Compaq presario laptop), bright display, strong body and overall its fine.
Limitations : Bad speakers
Laptop do need some great speakers so that you dont feel sick of desktop
Market price - ~ $800
RAM - 4 GB and 667 Mhz
Core 2duo with 2.0 Ghz, Intel PM965/GM965/GL960 chipset, 250 GB hard disk and Intel GMA x3100 graphics card and i suppose it comes preloaded with Windows vista home premium editions. (vista sucks ?)
Pretty cheap compared to my laptop. Compaq really sucks at battery life.
