HP is one company in notebooks field which provides wide range of PC’s and notebooks ranging from basic specs to specially business suited and too high end configuration laptops. Compaq brand is also owned by HP also. In HP, pavilion series has some classic notebooks, some made for special features only. In Compaq, Presario also has some quite good laptops. Overall if you see, you will find about 50 models. (I suppose i am quoting right). Unfortunately, HP and Compaq support mostly Windows Vista officially. So if you have Windows XP as OS and you want to get drivers for it, it would be tough for you to find it officially on its site. Compaq Presario C 773TU has such audio driver problem.

Both models, especially later one are designed for users who need a LOT out of their notebooks. I suppose if you finally want to have a nice one, just pay a bit more and go for HDX X18 model.
