Dollar value keeping high nowadays

Monday, September 8th, 2008 | Tech news | No Comments

Dollar value past few days is above Rs. 44 according to XE. Currently at Rs.44.6 per dollar. Omani rials is at Rs. 115-116/unit. I like this. Gets me some more bucks. The banks like HDFC give bad exchange rates for US dollar here. And other currencies are just beaten like anything. HDFC runs only on its huge name, nothing else.

Dollar value crosses Rs. 44 mark

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008 | Tech news | No Comments

Dollar value is INR 44.15 per unit. This is best time for my dad to convert his Omani rials earning into Indian rupees so that he can get best exchange rate :) Crude oil demand at international level has decreased and therefore per barrel oil price has dropped between $110-120. It is further expected to come down to $100. Indian government has said that it doesn’t want to reduce petrol prices. That’s what you call looting the public.

Dollar value backing up again

Tuesday, August 19th, 2008 | Tech news | No Comments

Several weeks before, dollar was rising and suddenly it fell down again and now again its showing some signs of recovery.

1 US $ = INR 43.50

When dollar again become weak against Rupee, inflow of income become a bit less to me. (I have one source from where money comes in Omani Rials and it depends proportionally on US dollar). Interestingly CAD is also nearly INR 41 per CAD. There used to be times when AUD and CAD were far from US $ value but its getting almost same. Crude oil prices dropped from $144/barrel to $109/barrel and its expected to come at $99 by year end. What many including me were thinking was that it would touch $200/barrel but as demand of crude oil has decreased greatly, prices have fallen. Maybe time to change to electric cars, like for e.g Tesla motors.

Dollar value for today

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008 | Tech news | No Comments

Today dollar value keeping my base currency INR is :

1 US $ = INR 43.24

When will it hit that INR 45 mark. I do know i am being self fish about it because weakening rupee will hurt economy and more we have to pay for import (developing nations import more than export). Reliance industries owner Mukesh Ambani i suppose once told that he wanna makes 1 US $ = 1 INR, totally foolish of him or what ?

Brent crude touches $146 per barrel in london

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008 | Tech news | No Comments

Brent crude for first time in London touched $146/barrel. Brent crude is one of the major classifications of crude oil and two-thirds of internationally priced crude oil depends upon its pricing. even US light and sweet crude rose to $145 a barrel. Due to this, airlines cannot afford to travel at same cheaper rates plus it is estimated that it will climb to $150/barrel. Due to this domestic petrol prices have risen and even international airfares have risen. In India, domestic airlines have urges to raise airfare prices by at least 30 %.

Weakening rupee against US dollar

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008 | Tech news | No Comments

INR is weakening and therefore dollar value in india has risen. Yesterday it was US $ = INR 43.3 . The weakening of rupee was mainly due to high inflation rate which has touched more than 11% in past 2 months officially and finance minster says that it will take several weeks to lower down inflation rate. Inflation in india jumped from ~7% to ~11% when petrol prices in india were raised from INR 50/litre to INR 55/litre.

Dollar value is climbing

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008 | Tech news | No Comments

Today’s US dollar value is

1 US $ = INR 42.97

US is gradually coming out of financial and credit crisis that it recently was affected by. I pray US dollar value reached INR 45 soon. If 1 unit increases in US dollar, than 2.25 units increase in Omani rials.

Today’s US dollar value for INR (Indian rupees) :

1 US $ = INR 42.88 (lately dollar is fluctuating above INR 42.5). This increase has raised the price of Omani rials by 5 INR. Rise in dollar value proportionally raises other currency values. Although, weakening Indian rupee.

Crude oil touching $140 per barrel

Sunday, June 8th, 2008 | Tech news | 1 Comment

Crude oil is touching nearly $140/barrel and experts forecast that it would touch $150 around July 4. India recently had Rs. 5 increase in petrol and Rs. 3 increase in diesel per litre and Rs. 50 increase in cooking gas LPG cylinder which has around 14.5 kg weight officially. So we aren’t far from the point of $200/barrel price, maybe we achieve it in October or latest by year ending. We badly need some alternative source of energy. Rising fuel prices increases inflation rate too.

Dollar value if currently US $1 = ~ INR 42.6

Past few days dollar is fluctuating above INR 42.5 and was a time near to INR 43. Dollar rise affected one of my relatives earning. He is in Oman and got INR 8000 more because of rise in dollar value. His currency is directly affected by dollar value. Waiting hard for dollar to touch 1 US $ = INR 45. At the same time cruse oil was hovering above $130. The day of $200 per barrel are not far.
