Application of Nanotechnology

In my previous post,Introduction to nanotechnology , i gave you a brief glimpse of what actually is nanotechnology and why i believe it staunchly.But maybe when you know what it is,how much beneficial it is to mankind,you might understand it why i emphasize so much on it.A brief cover up on -’Application of Nanotechnology’, means where it actually comes to use.If i say application of video technology or audio technology,it applies to T.V’s,headphones,microphones,cams,etc.Nanotechnology almost covers most of the areas of science.Its like a coating of new technology on everything that practically exists.
It applies largely on atomic-engineering base.Nanotechnology is all about re-arranging atoms and molecules of any product and make something new out of it.It will embrace most of the areas of science including physics,chemistry,biology,mechanical,electrical and all other material sciences that we have.everything is made up of atoms and molecules.Re-arranging them and creating out of it something is nanotechnology.So nanotechnology is going to apply everywhere in future where anything is made up of atoms and molecules.
Not only this,it will also make its own products by mostly using carbon molecules.They can make devices and systems which were not possible because of complexity.It will make such cheap and highly efficient water purifiers that even people of 3rd world countries can use it to get pure water.
Can you imagine the knowledge of all the books present in the world in a tiny silicon or carbon chip,just few or even 1 centimeter in length !? Yes,this is possible in future with the help of nanotechnology.Recently there were news that scientists put the whole bible on a silicon chip(check out on net if you dont believe me) and this chip can be passed through a projector to get big letters on screen.
Scientists have imagined a tiny water purifier,too tiny,that can give drinking water out of a polluted(drainage!) water.There are plenty such examples i can give you.But what i intend to tell you in this post is how much usefulness it has which you would have atleast got an idea.
