Every system has its core base and when it comes to SEO for site/blog, there are only 2 main basics :
1. Links : To rank good, it is necessary to get more and more inlinks to your site. Especially from your niche related arena. Don’t get links from spam and po** sites. They hurt your organic rankings. More the no. of links your site has, more google will rank you better for your desired keyword. Links are like trustworthiness and importance to google to know your site. try getting links from PR 4 + sites, they are considered more quality links.
2. Content : Your blog should have more and more content if you want to get traffic more. More the content, better for you. write good content and get relevant links - simple formula. You should post regularly on your blog. Not 5 one week and 2 another week. Post regularly adjusting your frequency.
Other factors are like having some seo plugins, tweaking meta tags, etc.

Google pagerank update is going on and Tech Productivity got a start with PR 1. I expected it to be PR 2, but bad luck, anyway that’s fine. This time, pagerank of most sites has risen. Interesting thing is that sites whose pagerank was decreased by google last time with suspect of selling links on their sites have now regained their lost pagerank. It seems it was a strategy by google so that people would fear selling links on sites. Several sites pagerank has risen this time. A positive page rank update 
The perfect SEO title

Giving your post the perfect title is very much vital for your site to rank in search engines. Search engines doesn’t understand what matter your site article has, it just works according to its algorithms, actually looking at the ‘title of your article’.
First, do a research of keywords, see which terms related to your site niche get good search nos. in ‘google’. Just don’t start with high traffic keyword, go for small ones initially. You can’t climb the 10th floor directly. It takes time. I suppose, you can use Wordtracker for this. Wordtracker can give you estimate of daily search of any keyword in major search engines. Try to write posts with those articles. I don’t mean you start stuffing you site with rich keywords. That’s not our motto, and this wont last long nor its any good either. But just try to put an appropriate title containing your niche related keyword.
For e.g,
Instead of :
‘How to work more ?’
write the post title as :
‘How to increase your productivity’.
This way, with passage of time, you can start ranking good in search engines with medium traffic keywords and eventually quite helpful if targeting heavy traffic keywords.
No one sells seo for $50

If you think that those general books available on internet for cheap prices can make you rich overnight with high traffic and 1000 backlinks,then you are being fooled. Its a fact that no one sells those valuable seo tips for just $50. Just think that why would a guy sell those seo tips which can make him No.1 for any keyword for just $50? Wouldn’t he himself imply that and be happy rather than do this social service. There are very few guys who do social services on net and really i havent seen any one doing that,selling his valuable research for cheap. So stop all that fuss.
Just go by basic seo. There is no magic anywhere on web that you rank overnight. It’s just links plus links and content.
Dont be Cnet,be personal

If you are going to develop a blog in which you are providing some valuable information(like this one ?),then write the content as if its your personal blog.Don’t take that way.I am not talking about writing about your girlfriend or your family problems but with respect to solely yourself.Like use
” I dont like the way this company agrees ….”
Here you have used ‘I’ in the beginning.What many do is:
“xyz(your blog name) doesnt like the way this company agrees..”.
Don’t try to be a Cnet or Znet group for nothing.Be personal.People tend to like an individuals review and authority more than a whole company or group.It seems interesting in reading.Try to be in your visitors shoe and you will note this fact.
Stop linking to other sites unnecessary

What you thought? Linking to other sites shows how transparent and generous you are? How much credit you give to original person?. Stop that. Yeah,relax,not hard and fast. But stop linking unnecessary. Linking more to other sites snatches your site’s link juice and i hope everyone wants to preserve that. Instead use ‘nofollow’ attribute which will prevent SE bots to scroll to that site.
If you link much to other sites,you surely gonna have PR plus SERP’s ranking problems. But if you feel its necessary to link to that original article or picture,just make sure you put ‘nofollow’ attribute. How is it done?

Just make sure you put this way and then you may start linking to sites,whichever you want. Its no problem to not to put “nofollow” attribute if you are linking to any google or wikipedia page(especially google). “nofollow” attribute is a great advantage for regular posters on blogosphere happenings because,firstly you are not violating any terms and giving updates regularly on blog.
You don’t need to link if you are writing on some idea you saw somewhere,any general discussion topic or anything like that because you can re-write or rephrase with some originality of yours and rephrasing words completely to pass completely. Hey, wait! I didn’t say to copy articles. Take a positive meaning out of it. But any research article or any special tech news should be linked to original site. I said tech news,not tech analysis of your own based on any tech news. If you are writing tech analysis of your own seeing some sites,tech news,then you don’t need to link it necessarily .If you wish,you can pay the tribute.
But i would advise you to occassionaly to link to relevant sites. This is because it will just make Search engines a bit more confident and sure that your site’s content is relevant and of similar niche to that of linked site. But just do this occassionaly. I have done that in my few earlier posts so that search engines can come to know about this. After this i am trying to use “nofollow” attribute.
Hey, make sure you aren’t using this attribute to link in your site’s own pages (inlinks) !
How to get more comments?

Everyone feels proud when they see a lot of comments in their posts from visitors.More important is how much percentage of your visitors base comment on your posts.A blog may be getting 1000 unique visitors daily but 3 comments while a 100 visitor blog may get 30-40 comments because of his writing style.I bet that 100 visitor blog will be more satisfied than that 1000 visitor blog even though he is having 10 times less traffic than 1000 visitor blog.
The post is simple.It just struck my mind and i thought i should share with you.Write posts which ask your reader questions.Such a simple answer to the question- ‘How to get more comments?’Isn’t it? Write posts which ask them about their opinion,which ask them what they thing about particular service,ask them what they earned from blog in following year,ask them how many hours you blog,ask them their favourite site,ask them what they use,ask them their strength( :) )and weakness,ask their opinions,what do they think of this matter?…etc.
The list goes on.The post which gives visitors and readers the room, will have more activity and comments on their blogs.It’s a logical psychology that anyone will like to say a few words if you make them feel important by asking them.
Like for e.g, I saw a post where the author reviewed an interesting game and asked the readers to play that simple flash game and post their highest score.Believe me,it’s been their top post with highest comments till now.So start posting interrogative posts now !
Stop reading SEO!

Yes,stop reading 10 hours SEO.What biggest mistake aggressive people like me do is read all the SEO stuff available on this earth so that we get all the seo knowledge.Let me tell you.There are 100 methods to rank the same web page to PR6 in 3 months or 4 months.The only thing is that which way you are going.
If you keep reading all the seo,stuff,you might get acquainted with several methods of seo and you implement them on your blog.Now here is where you make mistake.For e.g,one seo expert told me that Meta tags shouldn’t be touched in wordpress blogs.He does that way and is quite successful and also secures higher SERP’s than even many seo experts can think of.While if you read some prominent blogs on SEO,most will tell you to change the meta tags of your site.
Now if you listen to the guy who said don’t touch you meta tag and also read that you must make appropriate meta tags,you mix both.There are several such seo techniques like that.If you follow both,you will have no results in desired time.I have experienced that and telling you the truth.
I suppose you are getting my point here.Follow any one way.Don’t follow everything.Because each seo expert has his own seo techniques by which he succeeds.You can put remix techniques of seo.Half from one guy,other half from other guy.You will be no where.You can always read the seo stuff but think twice before you implement them.

Initially i didn’t discover the potential of stumbleupon,rather i would say that it didn’t struck my mind how stumbleupon can be a great asset to bring some very good content to your blog.
Brings new content and idea: Anyone can say that more you read,more content and idea you have in your mind.That’s why stumbleupon can be a great asset.You keep on stumbling and you keep on getting new content for your blog.Don’t copy the content instead you can link that content from your site and write about it.And that too you select what type of content you want to read and you simply keep stumbling and rather discovering new sites.This is actually an amazing systm where you without much browsing find quality content.
SEO crap or quality articles?

I don’t know how many blog something useful and researched work but i know atleast that there are many who blog general,medium quality articles or sometimes just crap so that words still appear to search engine crawlers.Infact there are very few blogs i have seen comparatively(i said comparatively,in comparison to other millions existing blogs), writing good and some useful content than just few lines of alphabets.And some blogs write too good and useful content,but they are limited.
Now those writing crap articles aren’t fool to waste their time on just writing for few minutes(1-2 minutes?!) and hit the ‘Publish’ button.They are all after SEO.They believe in SEO,they think crawlers don’t recognize quality content(TRUTH) and what they need is content anyhow and most percentage of SEO.While quality writers think quality articles can attract traffic,crap SEO writers believe that it’s SEO that attracts traffic.Now they aren’t wrong if you see at a point.Won’t they get traffic if they rank top 3 for a competitive keyword? yes,they will and will get some very good money,not for useful articles they wrote but yes,certainly for SEO work they did for site.You might say this is somehow unfair but you got to believe that this is the truth that is going to remain because google or yahoo or MSN can’t keep a person to look after all the sites and see if the content is in standard to quality.It’s algorithms and they work their ways.Robots can’t judge quality.Only structures and quantity online.
But if you are looking to build up a readership on long run,then it’s certain that you write and practice something that will be quite helpful to people.Start with little SEO,you will end up as a master.A readership i personally believe is quite helpful in future because nothing can beat 10,000 readers rather than 20,000 SE traffic.Why i say that?
(1) Fixed income: With that 10,000 readers i have got fixed income,if you don’t let you quality let down and continue further.These are your readers and are like virus who will spread a word or to about you.I don’t remember how many times i have said about blogs i regularly read. 20,000 search engine traffic can anytime break with new algorithms or change,making you depressed or handicapped for a while.No rankings anywhere in any search engines are permanent.They change from time to time.
(2)Brand: Have self-respect.Build your brand.Let yourself be recognized respectfully and with high esteem by 10,000 RSS or e-mail subscribers.Don’t always run after more hits,more money.Its better to have established blog with trusted readers than wavy search engine readers.
(3) Social media recognition: I have seen most sites on front page of digg are sites with some permanent base of readers and who write quality articles.So you see,you get benefited by social media traffic too.Because it’s the regular readers who will regularly stumble or digg for your articles not traffic from search engines mostly.
(4)Popularity: A killer or something valuable posts can get noticed.Don’t you talk about something which has greatly informed you something quite useful or thrilling.People chat about it or talk on forums.I don’t want to give you mathematical calculations here,but you can calculate yourself how much traffic you have and how many percentage of visitors of your blog will talk about it and what will be the return from that.It gets relevant links from other sites(yes,it does) which have high traffic because they feel this content is not worth missing for their readers.You will often see a link to original article on blogs by writers to give you the credit
All this adds to overall traffic of your blog if you study this case properly.Search engine traffic have no guarantee when they break.It’s like learning new SEO techniques and learning new again to get updated.Instead why not write something useful and get its benefit’s stated above.
