Dell has got some good creativity while painting laptops. There are some limited edition laptops available in dell which have some exotic designs designed by artists. They look really very cool and create an impact. Dell calls this as ‘Artwork’. There are artworks (design name) like seaweed, sunburst, red swirl, etc. and they look really fantastic design. Dell rocks in colour combination.

One thing about gateway is that its laptop aren’t costly. Max. price is $1500 of C-143XL model of C series with pretty impressive specs. C series is gateway is the last series with costliest 2 models than rest of all other series. These notebooks are actually tablets.

Sony Vaio SZ series has some nice configuration. There are 2 models in SZ series of Vaio, i.e SZ 79 and SZ 96. Not much major difference in specs is there between both.

Weights less than 2 KB. Battery life about 6-7 hours. Only SZ and TZ series have best battery life of all Vaio series. Rest have only average battery life like 4-3 hours. But bottom line is that it is priced very much high. SZ 79 at Rs. 1,25,00 while SZ 76 at Rs. 80,000. I don’t understand why there is huge difference between 2 models, as much by $1000. This series is best for business users and especially for portability use.
I never thought much about colour and all those gorgeous skin craze in notebooks, i only aimed for my real purpose than all this extra stuff. But i got to be wrong, people do have a choice of colour while buying laptop in India. Dell offers various laptop skins. While Vaio too has some cool and trendy design as skin. Its shiny body attracts really looks cool. No one i suppose other than dell offers wide array of colours in notebooks. I just met my dealer and he said one of his laptop deal was stuck due to skin colour unavailable in that particular notebook model.

In higher-end costly models, you can get 10 hours battery life models. Battery life in Vaio don’t suck as much as Compaq (and even HP i suppose) in india does considering high configuration of VAIO laptops.
MRP at Rs. 65,000.
Sony Vaio are one of the most attractive configuration laptops in India starting from Rs. 50,000 price and stops somewhere at Rs, 1,45,000 ( I suppose i saw this one). So it mainly targets high-end rich people who can really afford it plus who are really fans of Blu-Ray disc technology, available and trademarked exclusively in Vaio laptops. Sony has both of its product, handycam and laptops fantastic (I know they have other products too). Not many people use Vaio except who can really afford it. Believe me, people who know about laptops and have standard budget, never go for Vaio. Most people i feel in India who go for Vaio must be either Sony brand lovers of really don’t mind spending huge for some really good configuration. 2.4 GHz processors and 4 GB RAM, Sleek and trendy slim look apart from shiny and durable body, what else can you say !
