Lenovo ThinkPad T series has 3 models, T400 and T500. I will review T61 model. T400 had 14.1″ screen instead of 15.4″.
Configuration - Intel Core 2 Duo 2.1 GHz T8100 with 800 MHz FSB and 3 MB L2 Cache. 1 GB DDR2 SDRAM. 80 GB HDD at 5400 rpm. No Bluetooth. Ultravnav. DVD Recordable 8X, has 128 MB Dedicated NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M. Supports Wi-Fi, 6 cell Li-Ion Battery.
15.4 inch WXGA Widescreen TFT. Comes within 1 year depot warranty. The only drawback i feel is 80 GB HDD. A PC must at least have 160 GB HDD in today’s time.
OS - Windows Vista Home basic. Priced at $860 on lenovo’s official website.
7200 RPM in HDD
Saturday, October 18th, 2008 | Laptop reviews | No Comments
In Hard Disk, the common RPM (Revolutions per minute) is 5400 rpm. But there are also 7200 rpm HDD. I would like to tell you here that you will be likely finding this 7200 rpm mostly in Sony Vaio series. Like LT 28 model and few other models in Vaio too. Vaio is only such brand which offers 7200 rpm than traditional 5400 rpm. 7200 rpm will give you better performance of your HDD, much faster than 5400 rpm one. So try to go for 7200 rpm HDD models because you will experience in your HDD usage.
Best Notebook Models

There are several models every year which seem best model for most of the people for their needs, let it be business or home use. One such is Dell Inspiron 1525 which had resulted in exaggerated demands in india and another classic notebook is HP Pavilion dv6985se. HP Pavilion dv6985se priced at $1000 has 4 GB RAM, 250 GB HDD and 12 cell battery life. Another one is Sony Vaio NR 430 priced at just $680. Another model is HP Pavilion dv2945se with some great configuration and low price. Notebooks with very good configuration and low price are the ones which sell like hot cakes rather than speciality featured ones.

Introducing the all New 13 inch aluminum Macbook
Thursday, October 16th, 2008 | Laptop reviews | No Comments
Precision aluminum unibody enclosure.
I guess the big deal about this is that the case is made from one peace of aluminum. Then cut into the unibody enclosure.
The MacBook keyboard
They made a couple of changes to the keyboard as well. The main one is now the keyboard is back lit so now you can type in the dark with no problems. I just got a MacBook a couple of months ago I wish i knew they where coming out with a new model with a backlit. before this the only mac that lit up was the Apple MacBook Pro.

The new Multi-Touch trackpad
Its now just one Smooth peace if etched glass with no button thats pretty cool
Up to 5x faster NVIDIA graphics performance.
The new MacBooks have a new NVIDIA graphics card. The NVIDIA GeForce 9400M is great for high-end, high-speed 3D game-playing power. Not sure why this one is better then the old one the did not say much about it. what they did say is its 5x faster.
Over all its a very nice Laptop I want one. I love the MacBook Pro’s aluminum case and now you can get the aluminum case in the MacBook. If you want to high end MacBook its $1,599.00 If you want the low end MacBook Pro its $1,999.00. I guess thats a big price difference.
Lenovo Thinkpad Series

Lenovo Thinkpad series has some fantastic notebooks designed for both gaming, business and home work. They have some excellent features and accessories which you wont find anywhere else. Even the Ideapad series has some rocking and sexy looking laptops. I suppose i was wrong that lenovo have no good notebooks. One thing i have seen is that including lenovo and other brands, you will find better and cheaper models in US than in India. I will soon write about some cool new models. What has actually attracted me towards lenovo recently is the quality of notebooks and accessories they provide and plus wide array of interesting new features to try out in notebooks.

Sony has several series with each series notebooks having some sort of speciality. LT series is for them who like entertainment in PC’s. So one thing is obvious, you need a lot of storage to store your favourite high quality movies and videos.
Configuration - Intel Core 2 Duo 2.1 Ghz, 500 GB HDD with 7200 rpm, 2 GB DDR2 RAM (Can be expanded to 4 GB). 22 inch Wide screen WSXGA (1680×1050) clear bright LCD, 256 MB Dedicated Video RAM, Blu-Ray Disc drive, inbuilt webcam and also TV Tuner card so that you can turn this 22″ into a TV also. No bluetooth. NVidea GeForce 8400M GS graphics card.
OS - Windows Vista Home Premium.
As this is mean to be complete entertainment set of PC, you will have wireless keywords and mouse too. 2.1 Ch powerful speakers with woofer system. There are lot of other specs related to audio and video software so that you can get best for entertainment experience from this Vaio model. Also the look of this PC type is wide and sleek and simple looking but does make an impact. Plus the screen has wall mounting feature by which you can put it hanging on wall like other LCD supports. So it can be perfect TV-cum-Monitor.
If you have good budget and willing to go for Vaio, then LT is the best option in Vaio for complete entertainment experience. Reviews also say Sony has good customer care support as it is a recognized international brand.
Sony Vaio LT 28 model can be available for Rs. 1,60,000 ($3500).
Sony VGN-AR605E VAIO Core 2 Duo 1.8GHz 17″
Monday, October 13th, 2008 | Laptop reviews | No Comments
This laptop would be a great xp laptop. The Sony VAIO VGN-AR605E is not a bad laptop for the price. The 17” WXGA+ LCD screen has great resolution. Has a Built-in 1.3 megapixel camera. 160GB SATA hard drive is plenty big enough. the GeForce video card has 256MB dedicated video memory you cant beat that in a laptop. Has a Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 1.8GHz processor not bad.
With only 1 gb of ram there is no why this laptop will run Vista. This laptop just needs one things a ram upgrade.
