Dell inspiron 1525 models are the best laptop models, both model and configuration wise. One of my friend wanted to buy a dell laptop and what we finally hit upon was Dell inspiron 1525 model priced at INR 36000 (US $850) which had the best of configuration and fitted his budget perfectly. But unfortunately dell had stopped producing that model. Dell has policy of producing certain no. of models only and you wont get that model after all of those have been sold out. That sucks because few of your favourite models won’t be available after few months. yeah, quite true. My model wont be available after 3 months here. I have Compaq presario 773tu model and my dealer says it would be tough to get 773tu after few months.
Dell laptops are of course one of the best laptops in the world but companies like gateway do offer laptops worth having a look, if you are planning to have one soon. Last time I reviewed Gateway T 6836 laptop. Today i would review model MT6733 in Gateway :

I have got the latest drivers for Compaq Presario laptop c 773tu model. The latest drivers patch has been available to me actually it isn’t anything like official. This series of compaq presario, 772tu and 773tu have audio driver problems in Windows XP as HP doesn’t support XP official and only Vista drivers are available. I got them at last, very tough to get. I am willing to sell them if you want it. Leave a comment on this post and i will get in touch with you.
I am waiting for much awaited Apple iphone to officially launch in india. Apple iphone will be launched by Bharti Airtel and Vodafone. I suppose Airtel first announced about its collaboration with Apple in india and it should be first to launch iphone here, before vodafone does. The 3G service in iphone would be better offered by vodafone and airtel and rumors are that it would be quite costly (That’s how companies in India make money).
Although you can get iphone if you badly need it, from some shops in New Delhi, kolkata, bangalore and Hyderabad, but that’s underground and not official or you can even get unlocked one from ebay. You will find many resellers of iphone but they are all illegal means and you need to watch out for that. Or you can buy officially unlocked version of iphone in France and just replace the SIM card with your local provider. Nothing is known whether vodafone or airtel may give 3G service and if they do give, they would be limited to metro cities for time being.
The price would be around INR 8000-8500 (US $ 200). India has growing user base of geeks and people like cheap things which are multi-functional. So what can be better than iphone only. Damn ! Is it gonna come soon or shall i have it unofficially ?
Lately news have come that Google has walked out of Digg acquisition deal. Dunno the exact reason. There have been several talks on Digg acquisition but none finally maturised up to final stage. Unfortunately, i thought google will 101% have it this time. Bad luck ! Is digg overestimating it self? Digg is supposed to go for another round of financing. Google acquired Russian advertising co. ‘Begun’ (Rambler).
Toshiba satellite laptops are quite famous in Toshiba consumer notebook line. There are nearly 30 models in satellite laptops. Price of this series starts from $629 to more than $2500. You will find most satellite notebooks pre-installed with XP or generally Vista as OS. All have Tru brite technology (TFT wide screen). Pro models of satellite notebooks :

The cheapest laptop in Toshiba Satellite is A200 model ($629). The more high-end model you choose, more better options and configurations you will get.
I am looking to change to over desktop, planning to buy one soon. I am tired of my Compaq presario laptop and i see myself doing no good by working on laptop. i would instead work on that huge machine rather than this slim pad. Whatever you say, nothing finally beats desktop if you aren’t concerned about mobility. Desktops have become quite cheap lately and i can see some great configuration desktop for normal price. Maybe i will choose AMD processor this time, its great for gaming (I like that occasionally)
Currently, google pagerank update is going on and many of them would have noticed their pagerank increasing (or decreasing). Tech productivity has now moved from PR 1 to PR 2. That’s fine, but i suppose if i had worked a bit more hard, this blog would have PR 3 or even PR 4. Well, all this stuff continues and i better get to my work. I coming days, i would be writing more on laptop reviews.

Satellite series in Toshiba is best preferred series. Most people prefer budget laptops and here i will describe one.

Giants like microsoft, yahoo and GOOGLE are always on look for some or other profitable existence. Its rare that any successful start up not yet been acquired by google or some other company. This time its Digg, the much in talk with google. Google acquires social media giant Digg. The rumors and talk were silent unlike yahoo-Microsoft one ( they like making a scene, the best way to get some popularity ). Google has proven track record of hiring few start ups every year and this one is major this year. I can see lot of plans for digg if google acquires it.
It can integrate with google news (google is good at integrating with its pre-existing systems) and even have those digg buttons on results pages. It can even integrate digg services with other services like orkut, blogspot, etc. Google can make reach Digg to highest point of social media experience if it wishes. I havent got to know for what sum they have acquired it but will post soon as i get to know.
