This is really interesting deal of yahoo-Microsoft. Microsoft is getting more restless and keeping its price range a bit tight. The game goes on. Microsoft raises a bit, yahoo lowers a bit from other end. Yahoo asks $37/share. Microsoft quotes $33/share. $35 should get the deal done. Microsoft badly needs yahoo.
Dollar past 2-3 days is seeing northward graph, although its only by small margin, but drop by drop can fill the bucket. Today’s value :

1 US $ = EURO 0.639
1 US $ = GBP 0.503
5 % growth of dollar value would be nice enough. Bad luck that US is hit by sub-prime crisis lately and recession spreading at fast pace. If you read ‘employment news’, you would have known th job cuts that have taken place in past 3 months.
Yahoo has announced a deal with Jajah following that it will use jajah voice technologies for VOIP. Yahoo will not use it’s in house technology and instead do it using jajah technologies, everything right from calling to billing. 97 million people use yahoo messenger and this large user base can be properly used to get some good bucks. While jajah has got 10 million users in 2 years time. This deal will benefit both jajah and yahoo. It’s something like, yahoo would readily take the profits back sitting by just forwarding the calls via jajah.
Now, this is again one place – why yahoo fails. It wont use its technologies to leverage the potential of this huge user base. It could have well competed with other VOIP players with this huge user base already present. But i suppose yahoo doesn’t want to compete in this niche with several players like skype offering one of the best PC-to-Phone and other telephony services.
It seems the dollar value is a bit higher today.

It’s good to see these figures sometimes. I wish US $ goes back to as it was 2 years back, something about 1 US $ = ~ INR 45. Dollar value has decreased by 40 % in last 5 years ! This badly affects crude oil prices.
After dominating PC’s with its fantastic browsing service, Mozilla Firefox now intends to launch mobile browser, as quoted on Technology review. The main point in launching a mobile browser is that, it doesn’t work the way PC’s browsers work and therefore, one of the main points is to keep its size small and less complexity with point to point coding and clutter the unwanted things. No one likes to hang their mobiles while they surf internet on their handset.
There are competitors like safari and IE already in this market and lets see whether Firefox can beat them. It really needs to show something quite flexible and unique in mobile browsers so that at least geeks are attracted towards it.

Firefox long back launched Firefox 3.0 version. It’s worth, Firefox is one of the best browser. Mozilla has launched some fantastic thing in this world including this browser and this is the only browser supporting so many plugins, developed specially for itself.
The market is saturating at fast pace. In earlier times, or maybe take 15 years back, people use to enter in the market when that field really started booming. Like no one use to enter the electronics market until it really did a lot of good. But today the scenario is completely different. People are entering the field before it catches up. Today, if you see in any field, it is totally saturated type with lot of competition. Some companies sustain while some fail. People have got vision. People enter any new market before it has settled or anyone enters it. The competition gap is being filled at very fast pace.
Today’s trend – Innovation in existing technologies.
Figures show that European countries (mainly UK ?) are investing almost twice than US in nanotechnology risk research. Many research projects are funded by the government and quite a bit by private players too (that is for commercialization). More details here. US is taking note of this and its House of Representatives of science committee would make sure that they spend 10 % of science research funds on nanotechnology research, that is about $150 millions annually.
Every week, 3-4 nanotechnology products are coming in the market. For e.g in Nanowhitening toothpaste made up of calcium peroxide. Also people are slowly becoming aware of using nanotechnology products for their benefits. A large part of nanotechnology discoveries is related to health and several fitness and health cosmetics are coming up in market.
In 2006 – Nanotechnology used in $50 billion worth goods
Estimation of 2014 – Nanotechnology will be used in $2.6 trillion worth manufacturing goods. (15 % of total world’s Good’s production ! )
Still, not many people even in US are much aware about this, very few to say. It’s just the tip of iceberg, wait and watch the rest of matter soon. I am sure the no. of nanotechnology products entering the market every week will rise with time soon.
Something that catches many people’s attention is the interesting ways in virtual world. When it comes to second life, there includes some money part also. There have been several changes in second life also. It’s really seems to be an interesting place. In ‘Reality’, enough to deals. Now comes virtuality where you can deal in infinity. In virtual world in second life game, you can buy land, islands and develop it . Or you can open your store or do some paid work, etc. It’s currency in second life is linden $. This linden $ can even be converted in to US $ too.
I would like to try this out soon. It’s something very much curious for me.
